Real People, Real Remodels

It’s easy to love the instant gratification that home-remodeling television shows provide. Within a carefully edited half hour or hour, a room (or several rooms) of a home are completely transformed, lives are changed, and smiles and tears of joy ensue.

Real remodels usually don’t follow a similar story arc. They can be rather unpredictable, which in our opinion, makes them infinitely more interesting than anything on TV. With that in mind, we started collecting stories from people who have recently gone through a bathroom remodeling project, and we’re sharing their tales and pictures on iBaths.com.

These stories feature various degrees of remodeling and decorating, and involve real homeowners with different tastes and expectations. Names have not been changed; stories have not been embellished. Most importantly, the people in these articles have gone through remodels the way most people do: hiring contractors,  doing part of the project on their own, and enduring days or even weeks of living with an ongoing home renovation. The process isn’t always pretty, but the final results usually are.
