Countertop Sinks
Introduction
The type of sink you purchase depends on one simple question: do you want a vanity or not? If your answer is no, then a freestanding sink is your other option. If your answer is yes, then you have four sink styles to choose from: integral, undermount, self-rimming and vessel.
The rim or lip of the sink rests on top of the counter, while the rest of the sink drops below the countertop.
Not as difficult to install as seamless and undermount sinks.

Easy to clean; close to a seamless look.
Only works with a waterproof countertop material.

Difficult to clean area surrounding sink; requires a tall or wall-mounted faucet.
