Sink and Faucet Questionnaire
Picking the Right Lavatory
Sinks:
1. Do I want a sink for a vanity cabinet, or a freestanding sink model?
2. If I have a sink for a vanity cabinet, do I want an undermount sink, a drop-in sink or a sink that’s integrated with the countertop?
3. If I want a freestanding sink, do I want a pedestal sink, a wall-mounted sink or a console sink?
4. How do I plan on using this sink? Do I want it to look pretty and just use it for hand washing, or do I need it to be more utilitarian and functional?
5. Do I want a sink material that will be easy to clean and keep looking like new? Am I willing to sacrifice some style in order to have a sink like this?
6. Do I want a material that matches my countertop so I can have an integrated sink?
7. Do I need to consider having a sink that can help accommodate someone with special needs?
Faucets:
1. What type of bathroom décor do I have? How will this influence the style of faucet and faucet finish I want in my bathroom?
2. What type of sink do I have? Is it a one- or three-hole sink? Do I have a vessel sink that will require a tall faucet or a wall-mounted faucet?
3. Do I need to consider having a faucet with controls that can accommodate universal design?
4. Do I want a WaterSense sink with a flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute or less?
